The silence that's in my mind
Wishing that I wasn't alone,
Shivering cold and blind
To the wonders that exist out there
Where things are warm and bright,
Somewhere else far away from
This darkest eternal night
I close my eyes burned by the sun
Hurt by it's fearsome light
I turn away, searching the shadows
Knowing the chance is slight
To meet someone, a friend out there
Who's always been on my mind.
There you are, walking right toward me,
The one I want to find.
Sing for me, the song of your heart
It's silent where I stand
Preach for me, the script of your soul.
I'll follow your demand.
But wait for me, where the twilight
Slowly turns to day
Listen there, with all of your might
and you will hear me say
Sing to me all of this night:
The song that is in my soul
Preach to me, straight from your heart
I'm losing my control
I'm on my knees me begging and pleading
For you to show the way.
So don't despair, I know deep inside,
I'll be there by break of day
To sing to you into the night
Never alone or scared
And be with you forever now
I know that I am prepared
